PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS STRONG AS 2018 BEGINS

January 14, 2018 - As 2017 ended and 2018 began, persecution against Christians appears to be strong around the globe. Over the past three decades persecution against those of the Christian faith has increased dramatically.

As 2017 ended, a small Christian church in Quetta, Pakistan was targeted by a muslim suicide bombers.  Bethel Memorial Methodist Church was approached by four bombers, but because of the vigilance of church security personnel, only one was able to set off explosives. Approximately 400 Christian believers were inside and several children were injured, including a 1 year old baby girl named Aliza.

In Laos, several Christians were arrested and imprisoned after showing the 'JESUS Film' publicly and inviting people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Since their arrest, no one has been allowed to see those who were arrested. Family members are concerned and awaiting to see the outcome. It has been reported that the arrestees were fined, but they have not been released from prison as of this writing.
